(This is the same one I posted at Monkeeland.)
This was the clearest, most realistic Monkees dream I've ever had:
I was at an auditorium, hanging around before a 3kees concert. It was way early, so I put my stuff down to save a seat in front. I walked outside, and it was in a downtown area. I stopped at a deli to get a sandwich for lunch, when who should be standing there in line but Peter Tork! I walked up to him, and said "Hey, aren't you that Monkee guy?" with a big grin on my face, so he'd know I was a fan and teasing him. We talked for a few minutes, and he said he had the day free till the show, and asked me to spend it with him! *swoon* Of course, I said yes. We walked around town, through a park, and just walked and talked.
When it was time for the show, he asked if I wanted to watch from back stage. I did, and halfway through the show there was an intermission. After the intermission, I went out to watch from the house. The next thing I knew, some slightly familiar bearded guy walked onstage with a guitar. Nez! (Well, 1990s Nez, anyway.) The four of the ran through a few songs, and then Nez asked for requests. I raised my hand, and he motioned for me to come up onstage. I did, and I asked him to do The Girl I Knew Somewhere. He acted all embarassed, and said "You don't want me to play something I wrote, it's no good." So I kissed him on the cheek, and told him never to say that again. The audience applauded, and he got the hint, because the four of them played it, with Nez singing lead, which was a real treat.
And that was when I woke up. What a dream! I got to stroll through a park with Peter, see the FOURkees together, kiss Michael Nesmith ONSTAGE, and hear him sing something I've never heard him sing before! *sigh* I was in heaven.
