Day 2 Monday August 27th Peter
As I hear the knock on the door, I call out, "Just a moment" When I open the door, I see a woman about my height with brown hair, who I recognize almost immediately. "Hello, you must be Ami."
Smiling she says, "Yes, dad has told me so much about you.
The boys are very intrigued. It's been a while since I've seen them like this."
"I guess I don't know what to say."
"Believe me you have them wrapped around you finger. I never thought I would meet anyone who could do that to my dad. Besides me of course, but enough of that, let's shop."
We walk downstairs where we meet Paul. Once we are in the limo, I ask Ami if she knows what the plan for the evening is.
"I have no idea. I was told that we are going to the Leather
Collection where we are going to get you all deck out for Peter. Then we go back to the hotel, where we will get ready. Dad told me this morning that I am also invited."
"That's great."
From the front seat, Paul tells me, "Wait until you meet
Bruno, the owner. He is a piece of work."
"What do you mean?"
"You'll see."
Once we arrive at the store, I find out what Paul meant. Bruno walks over; he is about 6'2" with long black hair and amazing gray eyes. He is wearing leather and is very tattooed. He is the epitome of biker dudes, or Eddie from Rocky Horror.
"Sharane?"
"That would be me." I respond, amazed that he pronounced it correctly.
"Nice to meet you, Peter was here earlier this morning giving me his final vision."
Ami and I had the same thought and said, "Would you mind letting us in on it?"
"Certainly, I will be right back."
He leaves and returns, handing me the outfit. All I can see is
leather, and I wonder how I am going to look. I take the items into the dressing room and find leather pants and a halter top, similar to the one that I already have. I go out for some reactions.
Paul spits out, "Look at the biker babe you are."
Ami, just laughs thinking about how like Peter this is and adds, "They're going to die when they see you, you're hot."
"Hmm." Was Bruno's only comment, then he asks, " How do the pants feel? Be aware that they will stretch some, but I don't what you to be cut in half."
"They are very comfortable. I am very surprised at how much I am really liking this."
"Good, that is how they are suppose to feel." He turns to the counter and holds out the first of three jackets. "Now for the jacket, I have a few styles, we will see which looks the best."
I try on a long coat, a length, and a short jacket. While the long coat was fabulous, I choose the short jacket. My thinking was that I could wear it all through the night, if I had the long one, I would have to take it off. Paul mentions that we have to get going.
"Thank you, Bruno, for helping the boys in their little plot."
"No problem, Peter practically keeps me in business."
Under her breath, Ami murmurs "I am sure of that."
Paul brings us back to the hotel, where we have appointments at the hotel salon. Ami and I have the works. Anastasia gives me a mini-facial, while Mystique goes over my nails to make sure that they look super. Josef does my hair. Talk about wild woman; the biker image becomes a reality. Remember at the end of Grease, when Sandy changed her image; that is what I became with Ami getting a similar treatment. We go back to the room to get ready. Once there, I find that there are two phone messages, one from my mom and the other was from my cousin, Sue. I make a quick call to mom and find out that she was a bit concerned that I wasn't being treated well. I told here that I was fine and the boys were taking very good care of me. I did
asked her if she knew why Sue called, she responded that Michael was looking to find out when I would be home. I told her that I would call him when I had a minute. We said our good-byes since it was getting close to 5:30. Ami and I put the finishing touches on and went to the elevator. Once we were in the lobby, Zach met us and escorted us to the lounge. After we sat down at the bar, we practically have to fight off the men. We received about four offers to be whisked away to a land where we would rule. Peter, Davy, and
Micky fought their way in, followed by Paul.
While shrugging out from one guy' arm, I announce "Sorry guys our dates are here."
Toupee Guy takes one look at the three men and says, "Dates, don't you mean DADS?"
"Well, Micky is my dad," states Ami.
Bow Tie demands to know, "What are you with those old foggys for?"
"Don't you think you are being rude?"
"Well it certainly can't be the sex," claims Toupee Guy. The men around us laugh, as it was also visible that the Boys were about ready to say something.
"Why can't it?" I then, simply state as the Boys finally
get to us, "I don't think that I have enjoyed myself as much as I did last night."
With that statement, Bow Tie and Toupee Guy's mouths drop as we walk out.
Micky, with fire in his eyes and about ready to strangle me asks, "Did you just tell them that you are sleeping with us?"
"Actually, I implied it. I can't help it if they got that
impression. I think it was very affective in getting them out of our hair, don't you?"
"Well yes, but still"
Paul calms the moment by saying, "Sharane does have a way with words."
On that note, Davy changes the topic with, "You girls look fabulous."
"Bruno is really something, almost scared us off," recalls
Ami.
Peter, just smiles and says, "He is isn't he, but aside from his looks he is a true pussycat."
Once we were on our way, Peter informed me that Mike would be meeting us at the restaurant. He arrived just as we got out of the limo at the Hard Rock Caf. He was stunned when he saw Peter's vision of me. "Wow, that's sure different than last night."
I'm somewhat relieved that we are having simple fare, nothing too fancy. Micky, Ami, Mike and Davy enjoyed the hamburgers, while Peter and I had the Natural Veggie Burger. We all enjoyed fries and cokes. Although the place was rockin', Mike was visually uncomfortable.
"Mike, is something wrong?"
"Sorry, this is just not my idea of a nice dinner."
"Well, you and Peter have chosen places and outfits that suit your individual visions."
"We are going dancing after dinner, " Peter announces.
Mike and I ask, at the same time, "we are?"
"Yes, and you, Mike, are free to leave."
"Well, we'll see," was his only response.
While, the food was fabulous - the conversation was strained. Mike was firing questions, trying to see how cultured I am. He asked about opera, theatre and art. I finally decided to put an end to it.
"Mike, please understand that I am a well rounded person. My interests are varied, and there are very few things that I dislike. I really think that you are being disrespectful to Peter, by trying to turn this into something its not. Peter, I am sure, put a lot of thought into this night. Please let's not ruin it. "
Well that shut him up, to the point of pouting. I guess he thought more culture would be better. After dinner as we are getting into the limo, Peter tells Mike that the next stop is The Gate, an exclusive club. Mike quickly made an excuse to leave.
Concerned, I asked, "was it something I said?"
"No, Mike likes culture, but shies away from the pop end," Davy explains.
"Davy you are being too nice." Peter turns to me and
says, "Don't worry about it, if we were going to the opera, he would be here."
"Does this mean that he won't be joining us tomorrow?"
"I am sure he won't miss that for the world."
"Miss what?"
"Nice try, " replied Micky.
"Worth a shot."
Once we arrived, Davy bought a round of drinks, and the place started rockin'. Here I am rubbing elbows and other body parts with the likes of Julia Roberts, Sandra Bullock and Johnny Depp - amongst others. Most people knew either Ami or one of the Boys, so I was well introduced. During a slow dance with Peter, Hayden Christensen tapped him on the shoulder and asked if he could cut in. Peter was about to
say no, but Ami whisked him off.
All, through the dance I could feel Peter's eyes on us. Hayden and I talked about his time on "Higher Ground," "Star Wars" and Joe Lando. When the song is over, we part ways and I go back to the gang.
Davy asks, "So who danced better, Peter or Hayden?"
"I plead the 5th, totally refraining from comment."
"Doesn't that usually mean the person not present?" asks Micky, eyes gleaming.
"Not necessarily, both dances were great, but Hayden seemed scared out of his mind."
"True, but everyone seems scared to ask you to dance" replies Ami, who then adds, "with them around."
Laughing I tell them, "that doesn't bother me, I am having a great time either way."
It's about 1AM, and we part ways, Peter takes me back to the hotel in the limo. As soon as we are on our way, I start yawning. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" he asks.
"Falling asleep on you."
"Come over here, I don't mind if you rest a bit on the trip
home."
He grabs a blanket, and invites me to snuggle down beside him. My head is on his shoulder. My mind is too clouded to think, maybe it was the liqueur or the exhaustion, or a combination of both. The last thought I had was how comfortable I am. You know I could live like this.
"Sharane, time to wake up, we are at the hotel."
"Mmmmok I must have fallen asleep."
"It's ok, let me walk you up."
"Ok, good night Paul."
In the elevator, I tell Peter that Mike didn't even walk me in.
Surprised Peter asks, "He didn't?"
"Nope"
"That's just not right."
At the door, I fumble and drop the key. Peter picks it up and unlocks the door.
"Would you like to come in for a minute?"
"If you don't mind."
The real reason that he wanted to come in was to use the bathroom, as he did that - I quickly changed into comfortable clothes.
As he comes out of the bathroom, mentions "That was quick."
"Raney the quick change artist."
"Cute. What were you thinking about in the limo? You were making some pretty happy noises."
"How happy?"
Peter, laughing, says, "Well, not that happy."
"Ok, the last thing I remember was thinking how content and happy I am. Maybe it was the liqueur or being held for the first time in awhile, or a combination of the two. I'm also amazed at the differences between Mike and you three."
"What do you mean?"
"Mike seems to keep his distance, unlike you three. The
moment you met me, you have been all over me. Holding my hand, hugging me, hand or arm around my shoulders. The whole nine yards."
"Do you mind?"
"No, not at all. I am a hopeless, or is that hopeful
romantic, the mushy stuff always get me."
Peter starts rubbing his neck, and I tell him to come here and sit on the floor, I can help work it out. In mid massage, he gets up, quickly. "Thanks but I really must be going. It is getting too late for me to be here."
"Ok, I guess I will see you tomorrow."
Now I'm concerned that he left so quickly, but I pass over it and off to dreamland I go.
As I hear the knock on the door, I call out, "Just a moment" When I open the door, I see a woman about my height with brown hair, who I recognize almost immediately. "Hello, you must be Ami."
